Join hiking enthusiast Sharon Kegerreis to wander amid the wildflowers and spring foliage in Waterloo State Park. On May 7, we’ll hike around Mill Lake for a 3-mile loop. On May 14, we’ll combine trails to walk up to two miles. Meet in the lower parking lot at the Eddy Discovery Center (17030 Bush Road, Chelsea) at 4:00 p.m. rain or shine. Hike will be canceled if there are thunderstorms or high winds. Bring water and wear sturdy hiking shoes and layers. A walking stick is encouraged. Our walking pace will accommodate all who participate. Be aware that there are ticks in the woods. Plan to do a tick check after the hike. RSVP to let us know you’re hitting the trail with us: (734) 475-9242. Free to participate, though you’ll need a State Park Recreation Pass on your license plate, or you must self-register at the park for $19 (check or cash).
