Regular physical activity is one of the most important ways to support healthy aging. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, even a single session of moderate to vigorous physical activity can provide immediate benefits such as improved sleep, reduced anxiety, and lower blood pressure.
This year’s theme, “Champion Your Health,” emphasizes prevention, wellness, and personal responsibility as essential components of healthy aging. It encourages individuals to take an active role in their health by advocating for themselves, accessing preventive care, and making informed choices that support independence.
